The Office of Population Affairs (OPA), Office of  Family Planning (OFP) is pleased to announce the  2006 National Title X Grantee Meeting: Policy, Research, and Service, held in Phoenix, Arizona, on September 19–20, 2006.   

OFP looks forward to welcoming Title X service, training, and research grantees to discuss the latest research and evidence-based practices in family planning and related preventive health services.   The conference content will be comprised of presentations by leading experts as well as cutting edge work from the field (please see
Call for Abstracts).

Learning Objectives:

The information presented will enable participants to:

1. Understand the implications of current research and special OPA initiatives for Title X service delivery. 

2. Relate the most current policies and priorities of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and Office of Population Affairs to Title X Family Planning Projects.

3. Define the role of HIV prevention services integration and male involvement in Title X services.

4. Identify the latest technologies and approaches to family planning service delivery.

Who Should Attend:

This conference is intended for individuals working in Title X grantee agencies including executive directors, program managers, senior clinical staff, principle investigators for research projects, or other grantee staff who have decision-making responsibility for project activities. Attendance should be limited to 2-3 individuals from each Title X grantee agency.  Federal staff from throughout the Department of Health and Human Services, including Title X Regional Offices and Central Office staff will also attend.

Meeting Sponsor and Hosts: 

This conference is sponsored by the Office of Population Affairs (OPA), Office of Family Planning, (OPA/OFP), the agency that administers the Title X Family Planning Program.  The OPA/OFP Central and Regional Office staff members are the official representatives of the National Title X Family Planning Program.  Conference logistics are being arranged by Enterprise Services and Technologies, Inc. (EST).

Nursing Contact Hours:

Nursing contact hours will be provided by TRAINING 3. TRAINING 3 is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Pennsylvania State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
