 We are pleased to announce the 5th Biennial Federal Training Centers Collaboration Meeting (FTCC). This year's theme is "Strategies for Developing the Workforce
That Serves At-Risk Populations".
The FTCC Collaboration Meeting is part of an initiative to increase
collaboration among federally funded training centers with overlapping or
related missions.
Meeting Goals
The goals of the 2010 meeting are to:
- Increase collaboration among the federally funded training centers (TCs) regarding prevention and treatment of HIV/AIDS and closely related public health problems in racial and ethnic minority communities.
- Maximize federal resources and respond effectively to the training and development needs of the healthcare workforce that serve at-risk minority populations and others affected by diseases and conditions targeted by TCs.
- Provide opportunities for participants to exchange knowledge, skills and best practices using adult learning theories and training techniques as well as other strategies to promote workforce excellence.
- Demonstrate and model a range of innovative teaching and learning strategies that participants may apply in their training center activities.
- Identify areas of commonality and discuss plans for regional collaborations among the TCs over the next two-year period.
Meeting Objective
Each session will include measurable objectives related to the presented content.

This meeting is intended for representatives from
the FTCCs (RTCs, AETCs, PTCs, RTMCCS, VHNETs and ATTCs). Representatives
from the supporting Federal agencies will also participate.
